Kammer Philharmonia

Chamber Orchestra
Saturday 16th March, 2019 at 7:30pm

In response to requests from our audiences for larger chamber groupings playing Baroque repertoire, we are pleased to welcome back to Nairn players from the Kammerphilharmonie Europa which was founded in 2006 in Cologne.  The orchestra engages talented musicians from 18 European nations, and has a busy schedule of concerts throughout Europe for smaller groups chosen from the orchestra.  The orchestra has received critical acclaim for its outstanding artistic quality, has played at many concerts and festivals throughout Europe and provides promising artists the opportunity for further development.  The repertoire of the Chamber Philharmonic Europe ranges from baroque to modern; classical symphony concerts, chamber concerts, operas and operettas.  The most recent season saw Chamber Philharmonic Europe perform over 50 concerts at concert halls and opera houses.
