The Maxwell Quartet was founded in 2010 when the players were studying at the RCS, and quickly made their mark being chosen for a Tunnell Trust award, and as EMS residency artists. They have now established a reputation as one of the leading young string quartets in the world, winning 1st prize in the 2017 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition. Their Scottish heritage gives them a truly unique flavour which transcends the boundaries of musical genres and encourages a whole new generation to attend their concerts.
